The Colonies are the planets, atmospheres, and other celestial bodies that have been colonized by humanity. The first Colony that was established was on the Moon in 2048. Developments were slow, but in the 2060s new developments in space technology led to colonies being established on the surface of Mars and the atmosphere of Venus (part of a group of mostly speculative colonies called the Sunside Colonies). In 2084, millions of people live in the colonies, particularly on the Moon. It is still a minute portion of the human population when compared to Earth, but it is growing larger every year. The Off Worlder faction believes that expansion of the Colonies is where humanity's future lies.
